7 - 9 PM: Presentation & Panel Discussion 

The discussion topics will include:

• Global growth of hi-tech industries & role of Indian organizations how we (in Atlanta) can play an active role in partnership with IITs
• IITM Growth Fund

This event will be held at the world-class Van Leer Auditorium at Georgia Tech.

Directions:  From I-75/I-85, take Exit 250 (10th/14th Street, near Midtown) and go West on 10th Street for 0.4 mile, make a left on Atlantic Drive and drive for 0.4 mile till you see Van Leer Electrical Engineering Building on your left.  You can park in the Van Leer Building Parking Lot;  plenty of parking space available.  The VL 200 is a large circular building. Kris Gopalakrishnan :

Kris Gopalakrishnan is a co-founder of Infosys and has served as a Director since 1981. Currently he is the Deputy Managing Director & COO at Infosys.  From 1996 to 1998, Kris was the Head of Client Delivery and Technology, and from 1994 the head of Technical Support Services for Infosys. From 1987 to 1994, he was Technical Vice President and managed all projects at the U.S.-based KSA/Infosys, a former joint venture between the company and Kurt Salmon Associates in Atlanta. Prior to that, Kris was Technical Director of Infosys, responsible for the technical direction of the company. Kris received a M.Sc. in Physics and an M.Tech. in Computer Science from IIT, Madras. In 1998, Kris was awarded the IIT Madras Distinguished Alumnus Award. He is also the Chairman of the "IIT Madras Growth Fund" and has pledged more than Rs. 2 crores to this fund.

V.G. Idichandy:

V.G. Idichandy is the Dean of Students and Professor & HOD of Ocean Engg. at IIT Madras. He obtained an MS in Applied Mechanics in 1979 and a PhD in Ocean Engg. in 1987, both from IIT Madras. He has also served as the Chairman, JEE (Joint Entrance Exams), Chairman, Centre for Continuing Education, Coordinator QIP, Member Board of Governors, Regional Engineering College, Trichy, and Member National QIP Co-ordination Committee.
